October 1995 I started a new assigment with TEMIC Telefunken to built up a Semiconductor production in Shanghai. Later TEMIC was sold to Vishay and the company was renamed to Vishay Shanghai Semiconductor Co., Ltd.
The job started from scratch. Applying for business lizense, building up facilites, ramp up production and operation. Hired necessary staff member, trained them and let them grow with the operation. At best time over 1200 emplyees worked in this plant.
The location became the biggest within the Division and had an annual capacity of over 15 Billion Diodes & Transistors. Also some LED's and Opto couplers were manufctured, but on a smaller scale.
